Unwritten rules of management.

When communicating with people outside the company, always remember that you represent a company. Be especially careful in their statements.

Even during lunch or after work, you will still represent a company. You can assume that express your personal point of view, while customers, suppliers and everyone else will assume that you are the voice of the official view of the company.

When you say you will do something, it means that your company gives the person an obligation to do so. Think carefully about your application and prepare to answer for their performance. Never make statements about things that are not in your area of responsibility.
